Network Objectives

• Objective 1 - Build a core network, inviting involvement from academia, industry and end-users who are interested in shaping the deployment of antimicrobial materials in the UK transport network.

• Objective 2 - Collate experiences, rationale and factors effecting decision makers of those involved in the deployment of antimicrobial materials, to fully understand their requirements.

​

• Objective 3 - Engage those involved in policy decision making, ensuring BEST is able to input and shape future policy/regulatory decision making.

​

• Objective 4 - Engage those involved in the development of novel antimicrobial surfaces and coatings (industry and academia) to ensure test methods and efficacy assessment is fit-for-purpose.

​

• Objective 5 - Develop a position statement and guidance for those involved in the development, investment, regulation and end-use of antimicrobial materials for use in the transport sector within the UK.

​

• Objective 6 – Foster new collaborations and enable network members to create tangible outputs from their participation in the network.
